Brownies are one of those classic desserts that all of us have at least once made, eaten, etc., which is why it is one of the favorites of lots of people. They are like apple pie or cheesecake we all know what they are.

Brownies were one of the first things my sister and I started making when we first started baking at all. We would buy brownie mixes, which are, I have to say, very convenient. Then we moved on to making brownies and other things from scratch, simply because we find them to taste better. At first we would do this as a challenge. We would try making pretty much all from scratch, instead of using the mixes.

I have to say, cake mixes, or brownie mixes for that matter, are really easy to use, and the result is something really good. But I must say I think most recipes are jus better made from scratch, or even using cake mixes but adding a lot more ingredients than the ones called for on the box. If you would like us to upload a recipe doing just that, comment down below.

Now, there are a lot of brownie recipes, and different types of brownies, there are some cakey, fluffy, and there are some fudgy and dense, but to me, the perfect brownie is both of these things combined, not so cakey not so fudgy, that´s how you get the best of both worlds and make pretty much everyone happy. Which is exactly what we did with this recipe.

Now, there are lost of brownie recipes. There are some brownie recipes that are made to be cakey and fluffy, and there are some others that are dense and fudgy. But for me, brownies must be a perfect combination of both things, not too cake-like, not too fudgy, so you get the best of both worlds and everybody’s happy. This is exactly what we do here with this recipe.

These brownies are fudgy and most on the inside, like you can see in the pictures, yet they are also fluffy and cake-like, and they have this sort of “crust” on top that’s crispy, that’s the best part no doubt.

If you like this recipe, or brownies at all, you have to try our s’mores brownies, they are so good, with cookies and melted marshmallows on top.
