Berries and banana smoothie

This berries and banana smoothie is just great. It is one of thos drinks that are perfect ro have as breakfast in a rush or to have as a snack on the afternoon, when you feel like having something fresh and sweet, that is flavorful.

I´m not sure since when, but this recipe is now a staple for me. I have been making this every other day for a few months now. It is really easy, I get up in the morning, throw it all in the blender, press a button, and it is ready!

Sometimes I make a different version of this recipe, if I don’t have an ingredient at hand for example. One great idea is to buy a large spinach bag and freeze it. This way, you can use it little by little to make this and other smoothies, it tastes the same as if you were using fresh spinach. Now, if you don’y like spinach that much, you can ise something else instead.

Adding sweetener to this smoothie is totally optional, I usually use honey, the super thick one, with 1/4 tsp is enough; you could also use agave or maple syrup. But you could also not add any sweetener, because the banana and berries take care of that on themselves.

One thing’s a must though. You should drink this right after blending, otherwise fruit will oxidate and loose a lot of nutrients, plus it will turn sort of brown, which does not look as good.
