Instructions
Add the flour along with the baking powder, salt and sugar to an approximately 12.60 oz (375 ml) microwave-safe bowl or mug.
Add in the orange juice, egg, melted butter and vanilla extract and mix with a fork for a few seconds until smooth. If desired, add chocolate chips and mix a little more.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook on HIGH for 1 minute to 1 minute and a half until the mug cake is puffed and slightly firm (the time will depend on each microwave). It is important not to overcook it so that it does not turn hard. Also, make sure the cake does not overflow while cooking.
Remove the mug cake from the microwave and let it cool down for a few minutes before eating. Sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired. You can also serve it with ice cream, fruit or whipped cream.
