This watermelon sorbet is our number 3 dessert in our 5 summer desserts with 5 ingredients or less series. As promised, none of these desserts need an oven to be made (because we get a lot of us don’t want to use an oven during the summer).
We have to tell you now, if you’re not a watermelon lover already, then get ready because you’re about to become one, really!
Now if you like watermelon (even if you like it a little bit), you’re going to love this sorbet! Guaranteed. And, unlike what you may be thinking, this sorbet is not sweet at all in flavor. In the recipe you will see that we sweeten it with natural honey. We like to use a very small amount, because the watermelon flavor doesn’t need that much to taste amazing.
In fact, you can use honey, maple syrup or agave syrup (or any type of sweetener you like, in the amount you want too). But above all, here, the idea is that this sorbet highlights the watermelon’s own flavor.
It is a fresh and very light dessert. And of course, it’s a delight during these hot days.
If you feel like it, and you crave it, we recommend adding some mint or peppermint leaves on top when you serve this sorbet. That is because the combination and smell of the mint with the watermelon is great!
So here it is, our recipe for this watermelon sorbet, so you can treat yourself and spend these summer days in a better mood. Thank us later!

Method
Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend for about 1 minute until you get a thick and smooth puree.
Pour this mixture into a tupperware or ice cream container, close tightly and freeze for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Take the watermelon out of the freezer 10 minutes before serving for it to soften. Serve in individual servings and garnish with more honey and mint leaves if desired.
We created this blog as a way to save all the recipes we make at home. We started making mostly desserts a long time ago as a hobbie. It soon turned into something else.
