These chocolate puff pastries are one of those desserts that get you out of a jam. They are easy to make and make you look great every time. And the thing is, when you see them, they seem to take a long time, but the truth is, quite the opposite.
Having some ready-made puff pastry dough at home (whether you make it yourself or buy it at the supermarket) is always a good idea. You can make a lot of different things with a little puff pastry dough.
This dessert is the perfect illustration of that. These chocolate puff pastries are just what you need when you want a delicious dessert, but don’t want to do something too laborious. Just cut the puff pastry dough into rectangles, and make rolls with chocolate inside.
Now, you have to use a chocolate made for use in baking, and this is because this type of chocolate withstands the heat of the oven well, something that normal chocolates do not.
At the end of everything, we put a little powdered sugar on top, for a touch a little sweet, and that’s it! You have some chocolate puff pastries that you and everyone who tries them will love.

Method
Preheat the oven to 200° C. Grease a large rectangular baking pan with a little butter and place the puff pastry sheet on top of the baking pan. With a knife, cut the dough into 6 equal rectangles.
Using a knife, carefully cut the chocolate into 6 sticks about 8 cm long. Place a chocolate stick on one of the smaller sides of a rectangle of puff pastry and with your hands, roll the dough around the chocolate to form a roll.
Repeat the process with the rest of the puff pastry rectangles and once all the rolls are ready, place them in the mold with the edges down and separated by at least 5 cm from each other.
With a kitchen brush, brush all the puff pastry rolls with the beaten egg and bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
Once the chocolate puff pastries are ready, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. To serve, decorate with powdered sugar and serve with ice cream if desired.
