Ingredients
Method
- In a medium bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix with a spoon and set aside.
- Separately, in a large bowl, add the egg and sugar. Beat with a whisk for 1 minute, until the mixture becomes slightly frothy. Add the milk along with the melted butter and beat for a few more seconds until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Add the flour mixture and beat for 20 seconds, just until completely incorporated. Finally, add the diced apple and mix until smooth and homogeneous.
- Place the oil in a medium saucepan and bring to medium heat. You will need approximately 5 cm of oil, so the amount will depend on the size of the pan. The oil should be at a temperature of 190°C when frying the fritters, so adjust the heat as necessary.
- Once the oil is hot, use an ice cream scoop or two spoons to scoop up some of the mixture and form the fritters directly in the oil. Cook in batches of 4 or depending on the size of the pot, but it is important not to add too many at once. They should be cooked for 2-3 minutes, moving them when necessary with a spatula so that they are golden brown on all sides.
- When the first batch of fritters is ready, remove them from the oil and place them on a large plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil. Repeat the process until you have approximately 16 fritters.
- Once ready, sprinkle the fritters with powdered sugar and serve hot. They should be eaten the same day for the best texture and flavor.
