Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a 12-cup doughnut pan or two 6-cup doughnut pans with a little butter or cooking spray, with cavities approximately 9 cm in diameter.
- In a medium bowl, sift the flour with the baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. Mix with a spoon and set aside until needed.
- Separately, in a large bowl, add the sugar, egg, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat with a balloon whisk for 1 minute until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Add the flour mixture in two additions, beating for 10 seconds after each addition to obtain a smooth, lump-free mixture.
- Once the mixture is ready, use a spoon or rubber spatula to transfer it to a pastry bag or ziplock bag without a tip. Cut the tip of the bag with scissors or a knife, and carefully fill each cavity of the donut mold to 3/4 capacity. These quantities should make 12 donuts in total.
- Bake the donuts at 350°F for approximately 12 minutes or until they are lightly browned and a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Separately, place the powdered sugar on a large flat plate. As soon as the donuts come out of the oven, roll each one in the sugar so that they are well coated. It is important to do this step while the donuts are still hot. Serve warm and enjoy!
