Method
- Preheat the oven to 356º F (180°C). Grease a deep rectangular baking pan of 9 inches x 4.73 inches (approximately 25 cm x 12 cm) with a little butter or line it with parchment paper. Separately, in a medium bowl, sift the flour with the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix with a spoon and set aside.
- In a large bowl, add the two types of sugar with the eggs, oil, sour cream or greek yogurt, and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand whisk for 1 minute until the mixture is lighter in color and fluffier.
- Add the flour mixture in two separate additions, beating for 10 seconds after each addition to get a smooth mixture. Finally, add the chocolate chips and mix just until incorporated.
- Carefully pour the mixture into the pan and bake at 356° F (180º C) for about 45 minutes until the bread is lightly golden brown and a wooden toothpick comes out clean when inserted.
- Once ready, take the bread out of the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes in the pan. Then turn it out and place it on a wire rack to cool down completely. Done!
