Method
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a 10-inch (25 cm) round Bundt pan with a little butter. In a separate medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix with a spoon and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the butter, cream cheese, and sugar. Beat with an electric mixer or a hand whisk for 3–4 minutes, until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating for about 20 seconds after each addition. Add the vanilla extract and beat again until incorporated.
- Add the flour mixture in 2 additions, mixing after each one until the batter is smooth and homogeneous.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly with a spoon or silicone spatula.
- Bake at 350°F (180°C) for approximately 75 minutes, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the cake is lightly golden.
- Once the cake is done, let it cool in the pan for 20 minutes before unmolding. Then transfer it to a wire rack and let it cool completely. Finally, dust with a little powdered sugar, if desired.
