These gluten free healthy banana pancakes are just great. They have no flour nor added sugars, plus, they are also really easy to make. I love to eat them like you see them in the pictures, with some banana slices and maple or agave syrup.Jump to Recipe
AS many other recipes made out of bananas, this recipe works better when using overripe bananas, and I mean almost entirely black bananas. It is so much better like this, because that’s when they are the sweetest. This is why these pancakes taste great even when not adding any other type of sweetener, because of the banana.
This recipe does not have gluten, because it doesn’t call for wheat flour, but that doesn’t necessarily make it suitable for people with celiac disease or gluten intolerant. If you want to mek it suitable for people with celiac disease, for example, you would have to also make sure all of the other ingredients have no gluten or traces or it.
Now, this recipe could be made vegan easily. You just have to use more banana or soaked chia seeds instead of the egg, and add some baking powder. Now I have never tried this but they for sure would be amazing. And of course, you have to make sure the rest of the ingredients don’t have any traces of animal products.
Now this recipe is one of the easiest we have here in our blog, because the only thing you need is a blender. And the directions are really simple, you just put all the ingredients in the blender and blend. Then you cook it in a pan with some extra oil or butter and that’s it! Just like that, without having to wash a bunch of bowls and kitchen utensils.
