Mom´s cheesecake

This recipe has been in our family for decades. My grandma taught it to my mom, she taught it to us, and now we share it with you.

When we make this dessert I get impressed by how easy and fast it is to make, plus is one of our family´s favorites.





For the crust:

  • 2 C all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 90 gr unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the filling:

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 190 gr cream cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
  2. In a bowl, mix all of the crust ingredients by hand. Knead for 3 minutes until you get a non-sticky and very soft dough.
  3. Put the dough in a pie pan and set aside.
  4. For the filling, just blend together all of the ingredients and pour this mixture carefully onto the pie crust.
  5. Bake at 350° F for about 40 min. or until it turns golden brown.
